sherku: peanuts 2

Dimpled and curved
Cracked revealing such
Could you guess they
Make smooth butter

What is a sherku?

sherku: peanuts 1

Hunched over
Cracking shells
These really need
To be eaten
At the ball park

What is a sherku?

sherku: wholesome

sensitive, yes
I can feel
my big toe
expanding the hole
in my left sock

What is a sherku?

sherku: hard running

Hard running into
The wind today
Better when I turn
To finish with it

What is a sherku?

sherku: after Rocky

Glittens keep
my hands warm
Curling them I become
Runner Rocky Balboa

What is a sherku?

Good thing I leave
For work after she does
I can bring her the lunch
She forgot

What is a sherku?

sherku: Monday

Monday can’t be bad
I am already up
And eager to
Ride the waves

What is a sherku?

sherku: twice good

Today will be
Twice good, got
Two kisses from D
As she went
Out the door

Patriot Place
Brands, brands, brands
All over until
you look up to
the heavens

What is a sherku?

sherku: April 1

Grey sky, wet roads
Branches sugar coated
Nature shows who's
Really in charge

What is a sherku?

April 1 in New England brought some winter weather, more snow to cover the new green

sherku: hints of green

Stubble field
Hints of green
Trees starkly naked
Arms embracing
New life

sherku: cause to pause

Purple flag flutters
Long line autos flashing
Cause to pause
Honor those who pass

sherku: passing on

The generation
that brought us
and taught us
is leaving us
one at a time

What is a sherku?

For Dolores' aunt - Norma Ricci, the most recent of 'that generation'

sherku: St Pats 5K

athletic calves
prancing poodle skirt
frisky fun
to finish together

Clear vocals on
unrequited
Irish love
