Town budget limerick

There once was a budget from Franklin
Where every line was tight as a mandolin
But wouldn't you know
People wouldn't show
Cause the finances were maudlin

In advance of the Town of Franklin budget hearings scheduled for the Town Council this week. https://www.franklinma.gov/town-budget/webforms/fy-23-budget-materials

Limerick: Dunkin inspires

I have gone longer in the sun
Have carried water on the run
Really focused today
With Dunkin on the way
Inspired to explore in fun

There is a difference between my limericks and the standard. Mine are less bawdy!

Limerick for Molly

There was a lady called Molly
Who sent a Seussical volley
For those women with drive
Tips to help them thrive
And succeed in work not folly

There is a difference between my limericks and the standard. Mine are less bawdy!

and a good example:  http://www.quietpoet.com/2008/04/there-was-lad-from-pawtucket.html

Relationship Geek

There is a relationship geek named Phil
who lives on top of the hill
he’ll use his blue book
or tweet with a hook
for your need he will fulfill

A limerick for Phil Gerbyshak to celebrate our joint birthday. The full posting can be found here (link removed as it is no longer valid).

Happy Birthday to JJL

There is a group of learners
Joyful, jubilant, yearners
Seeking for the way
To make their work pay
Or convert their readers to returners

spring cleaning

When it comes to spring cleaning
She can be quite preening
But he reaches outside
She handles the inside
And the windows yield to double sheening

did I mention

One aspect of limericks, they tend toward obscene
Here at JJL we will not do that scene
But still have a ball
Showing respect for all
By keeping our lyrics clean

There was a lad from Pawtucket

who now had to rhyme with suck it

but he did not dare

as he did not swear

so he found a way to duck it
